As you can see, the AI sourcing menu is nearly identical to that of the most popular LLMs (Large Language Models), such as ChatGPT and Perplexity.
After you describe your ideal candidate, Metaview's AI will search for them online and generate candidate cards — summaries of candidates' education and recent experience. You can quickly categorize these candidate cards into "Yes," "No," and "Maybe."

While this is useful, it's hard to shake the feeling that Metaview is just a polished interface built on top of OpenAI's ChatGPT — but at a much higher price.

The AI transcriptions and meeting summaries are Metaview's most widely used features. Most users who have shared their experience with Metaview only mention using the platform's note-taking functions.
AI Reports

Metaview can also generate visual reports based on your recordings. These reports highlight various useful metrics, including:
- Interviewer punctuality
- Candidate talk times
- Interviewer question count
In a large team of recruiters, these reports make evaluation easier and help you spot trends in your recruitment pipeline.
AI Job Descriptions

Metaview's AI model can also create a job post for you, based on information you provide after a series of questions about the open role.
Also, it can improve an existing job posting with a series of grammar, syntax, and quality checks.

While the job postings Metaview generates are decent, it's much better at improving existing job ads — that's where its AI's pre-training on job postings really shines.
In both cases, however, you don't really get anything you wouldn't have with a simple ChatGPT subscription, which costs $40 less per user.
If you ask ChatGPT to generate a job ad and provide it with the same information you give Metaview, OpenAI's chatbot gives you a similar job posting — certainly no less detailed than Metaview's.
The difference is mostly in formatting, which you can easily tweak yourself or within ChatGPT. With that in mind, Metaview isn't cost-effective for this aspect of recruitment.

The AI tool has a decent score on G2, though practically all verified reviewers only mention using the platform for AI-powered structured notes.
On the other hand, Metaview's bias-free sourcing module for the rest of the hiring process seems less popular — probably because it's too expensive for solo recruiters and small teams.
Also, users consistently mention a few issues with Metaview, including:

Non-English Language Issues
Nominally, Metaview supports AI transcriptions and summaries in 50+ languages.
